Follow the live chain.
Newly accepted native PoW and AuxPoW blocks appear automatically. See the connected block sequence, confirmation depth, and transactions currently waiting in the mempool.
Block-by-block
Only node-accepted blocks join the chain. Unconfirmed transactions wait in the mempool; a future block has no hash or confirmations yet.
Accepted blocks vs pending transactions
The latest block has one confirmation when it is accepted into the node's active blockchain. Each subsequent block adds confirmation depth.
Next block is just a placeholder waiting for miners. It has no block hash or confirmations yet. The mempool holds unconfirmed transactions that may be selected for a future block.
Reorganisations can replace recent blocks. The live view flags changed block hashes; MongoDB's orphan page records reorganisations observed by the indexer. An indexed snapshot cannot prove that the remote node is currently online.
